Lee Pierson
Ph.D—Psychology
Lee Pierson, who holds a Ph.D. in psychology from Cornell University, learned about perception, including picture perception, as the last graduate student of the eminent psychologist James J. Gibson. Dr. Pierson has published research on the function of consciousness and on the function of visual imagery in problem-solving. He has presented “Key-Concept Thinking” and other seminars to students from grade school to grad school and beyond, for a variety of educational and corporate clients in the United States and Canada. Dr. Pierson was for many years Director of the Thinking Skills Institute of the Petrocelli College of Continuing Studies at Fairleigh Dickinson University.
